Travel Vaccinations
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Yellow Fever vaccinations. We are now able to offer Yellow Fever vaccinations. There will be a charge for this.

Please do as early as possible, (ideally at least 6 weeks before you travel).
- Please look at our fees list to see which vaccines are not covered under the NHS: SCHC Fees List
- Please download and complete our travel vaccine form: Travel Form 2026 or complete it online below.
- Please email the completed form to: schcreception@nhs.net
- Our nurses will review your form and work out what vaccinations (or malaria prophylaxis) you will need
- Please allow 2 working days for the form to be processed then ring for an appointment
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible:
- These vaccines often have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.
- Some vaccines require a several jabs to be effective.
- Ideally your appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Please note: After careful consideration, we will no longer prescribe benzodiazepines or sedatives (such as diazepam) for patients experiencing fear of flying.
