Important - Guaranteed for Easter prescription cut-off date is Friday 11th April. Please ensure you have requested your medication by this date if you will require a further prescription before Good Friday.
You may be aware that the current eligibility criteria for the shingles vaccines has changed. NHS England has announced changes highlighting that people aged 65+ can be offered the vaccine.
It is important to note however that vaccines are being offered to 65+ year old’s based on their date of birth.
Below are the current guidelines for who is currently eligible to be offered 2 doses of the Shingles vaccine. If you are unsure on your eligibility, you can ask our reception team (at the desk or by phone) who will be able to advise further on when you may be offered your vaccines.
Immunosuppressed and 50+ years old | If you have a severely weakened immune system you will be offered the shingles vaccine from 50 years of age. |
For 65 years old’s | People born between 1st September 1958 – 31st August 1959 will be offered their shingles vaccines first. |
For 70 year old’s | 70 year old’s will be offered their vaccines if born between 1st September 1953 – 31st August 1954. |
