Covid 19 vaccinations

We have a limited number of Covid vaccines for patients aged 80 years and above and we have 2 clinics at Sonning Common Health Centre on Wednesday 20th and Friday 22nd January in the afternoon. We are booking appointments for patients aged 75 years to 80 years too but we do not have confirmation of vaccine delivery yet for this date.

Please note that for these patients (aged 80 years and above and 75 years to 80 years) the second vaccination will hopefully be within 12 weeks. Patients will receive a separate invite for a second vaccination when we have more information about the vaccine delivery and timings. This vaccine is the Astra Zeneca/Oxford vaccine. Patients do not need to wait 15 minutes after the vaccine unless they are driving. Please walk or arrange a lift to Sonning Common Health Centre if you can.

NHS England has advised on the patient groups that GP practices can invite, there is currently no flexibility with regards to this. Please do not contact the health centre if you have not received a text message, email or phone call invitation from us.

Frontline healthcare workers and frontline social care workers: we are making appointments for this priority group. Please contact our reception team to make an appointment if you are a patient, work in this priority group and if you have not made an appointment yet. Please email if you have any queries. We will need to see proof of current employment at your appointment.
